    First time to the track with the V8

    So, I've yet to make it to the track since i swapped in the 5.3 in place of the V6. I had alot of bugs to work out and finally got it running pretty decent. Im more of a street guy but me and corey (BlackGMC) made it to the track last weekend.
    I had alot of fun and got 5 passes in. 3 on street tires and 2 on slicks.
    Best time was a 13.91 at 98.5 mph 2.1 60ft and a 9.0 1/8th at 81
    my little TB stall is killing me down low but its what i have to work with for now.
    Anyways... this vid took 30min to download so i'll get the other run downloaded later.

    I was on street tires this run up against Corey. He went 12.9 and i went 13.9
    DA was about 350ish all day which is great for us DFW guys

    like the inside view. not bad for the first time new setup. stall would lower your 60ft. want to see the other runs with slicks, this run you had to pedal it. good start!

    I ran the same time with the slicks. Once it hit second with the slicks it would bog down. My converter is killing me.

    yeah i hate that major rpm drop when shifting with my stock stall. what are the cam specs if you dont mind me asking?

    Not to get off subject but are you using the tow haul down the track? Or are you shifting some way I don't understand? Just curious.....

    And btw I love my 3k stall never drop below 4500..... Until I let out lol good runs I'm sure that time will be dropping soon!

    I hear keeping it in 3rd gear with the tow haul on is the best. And if you can launch at lower then 1800 rpms you shouldn't spin em to bad. Then again I only have a 4.8 lol

    I have my tune setup to have 0% TM and shift points at 6700 in tow haul mode. Where as regular driving is 6200ish 15-20% TM
    I definately need a stall no question about it. Its on the list for my near future lol
