yes, its a blast, we cruise together and go to test and tune as much as we can.

Looks good, I need to convince my Dad on 3 things still. Not everything needs replaced with a big block, computers and fuel injection are not the devil and turbos don't just belong on diseasels.

Just out of curiosity could you tell that the piston was broken, when driving and did it use oil

didnt use oil at all or smoke.... just had a little clatter like a lifter tap...

just some type of upgrade. if nothing else upgrade the stock rockers with the harlen sharp or comp kit. they lose needle bearings pretty regular..... but for a little more u can get a little more power and upgraded rockers....

How did you know that the piston was broken. Was it only after the
engine was taken apart. Did the engine vibrate. Why iam asking
this,is i think i might have hurt my engine. Tires spun on ice and the motor
over reved in 1 st gear (6500 rpm max ), then i heard what sounded like a stick going around
and around a steel drum (loudly) for about 1 second. The sound has never came back.
This happened 1 week ago. My engine is non boosted and no nitrous

i was kind of waiting for a piston to go. 25k miles of 10 psi and my dads heavy foot were pushing the limits. Im sure I could have done a leak/comp test. But my dad was looking for a reason to build a forged motor anyways, it could have been a rocker arm and it still would have been built like it is...lol.... no clue what your noise was. goodluck tho

Don't the scorpions have a tendency to fall apart as well?

I remember looking into them a couple years back (before finding this site) and seeing a bunch of threads about them, thought someone on here had a set let go now that long ago as well.

Seems like a lot of the fbody guys swear left/right up/down by yella terra's.
