It will be a lQ4, but i'm having the engine built with the heads unassembled. I want to polish up the bowls and other stuff.
It will also have a cam in it, this one:

Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft - 220/220 .553/.553 114 LSA 1500-6500 RPM Power Band. Computer Tuning Required with automatic transmission cars. A very well balanced camshaft that makes excellent power across the entire RPM range. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.


I think this is nice, all around cam for his truck. Makes good power down low and revs up to 6500, not bad.

I may also talk him into getting a 2800 stall, we'll see on that one though, he's not into hot rodding, but he wants a fast truck.
I think the stock manifolds and exhaust will remain until we can decide on what to get and he can come up with money.
My choice will be some long tubes, either asm or something like that, and a custom dual 2.5" exhaust with magnaflows, i'll build the exhuast for him and put it all together. Should come out real nice.
