It is one of my best friends, so not directly but I am with him as he does it. I was considering buyin 4.10's but the truck is sick with power just hesitates just a bit and want to get rid of it. I was planning on camming it here soon!

I am starting to wonder now... When I bought the truck it was pretty fixed up and I am now wondering if it does have a differend stall 1500 or so.

Stock stall is more than 1500. If you cam it you will want gears for sure with those tires. I am planning on getting 4.88 gears here soon. But yeah sounds like torque management to me.

I don't really want to go with 4.88 because of the RPM's on the highway? As it is I only get about 11 - 13 mpg, will these gears change this or would it stay the same? What are thoughts 4.10's?

How much TQ management is remaining in the tune? Does it have the 60e or 80e trans? If its the 80, I'd take out 100% of it. If it's the 60e, I'd remove 80%

I have not had the truck too long and I am not even sure if it has a 60e or 80e, any easy way to tell? So, you are saying to remove the TQ Management to help free some more power out of the truck? Thanks for th info!

You have an 80e if you have a 1500hd. Yes torque management removal will keep the computer from retarding the timing to "manage torque" to be easier on the drive train. You are going to get horrible gas mileage no matter what.

OCHOA505 A 4l60 should have no removable inspection cover, it would like a big watermelon slice if it was there, if it does have that then you have a 80e, squiggly lines in stamped into the bottom of the pan are a giveaway also that it has a 4l80E, I have a cammed 5.3 1500 that is DBC and i have the same hesitation issue with the 3:73 gears and 33" rubber, but it gets slightly worse whet the motor reaches operating temps, cold starts are no problems, i ordered a YANK TT3000 and that solved my problem
