I think if Jon can spray 300+ on his 402 and run 10.40's in a heavy ass ECSB with an 80e that you will be just fine.

Completely stock 80e will take a ton of abuse. I had a stock 80e last for over 100k and it went 10.93@124. It had about 30k on it when I bought it. Had a friend rebuild it to stock specs plus a shift kit.
