New truck is sweet, I had no idea they put the 6l80e in the 1/2 ton trucks now. That kicks ass, im jealous.... Serious question though, what gear ratio and how fast does it go in first? Not being a smart ass, really want to know...!

3.42 gears and 26 mph stock. The tune will obviously change that up a little, but not much. It shifts out of first at like 5700 RPM right now, which I do not like. I prefer to pull my shifts up around 6300-6400. My 08 with 3:73s had the 4l60 shifted out of first at 45 after tuning, shifting at 6100.

So you will be shifting out of 1st at about 35 or so and still be able to cruise at low rpms. Man I want that tranny in my truck! I'm tempted to sell my 4 wheeler and both my 4l80s and swap one in my rig. It would be a totally different truck. I got some thinking to do...

Good luck with whatever you do. Very few have done that swap successfully.

It doesn't suck so bad when you think about the fact that I got 22k out of that truck when it totaled. Minus deductible and tow bills = 20700. I had a nice down payment on the new one. Nice enough to keep my payments VERY close to what they were.
