Well, my stall keeps making a whining noise and sometimes even a sound like when you put a toothpick in a fan ,hahha, plus i have a vibration as well. That could be my vibration at highway speeds too, we'll see.
This stall is a 2600 yank and really doesn't stall that high, when my first tranny busted on me, i had it cut open and cleaned, and while they had it open, i told them to reangle the fins to get more stall out of it; what a mistake, it's acted funny since then, and now is going out on me.

So, do i get a Yank Thruster 3000 stall or
    Yank Thruster 3200 stall

The 3000 still has towing capabilities, but i don't tow, so i don't care. The 3200 is for the truck hot rodder, hey that sounds like me.

So what do you guys think? I guess I have to put off the headers for a tad bit, oh well, this is a good thing, having to replace the stall.
I don't want to get the 3000 and not be enuff, I see a lot of ppl changing theirs out cause they want more, but i drive this truck a lot and don't want the 3200 to be too much. hmmm, hard decision.

    Later and thanks,

    allen

3000 to 3200 isnt that much when you look at mpg, but from a racing standpoint that 200 rpms could be a deciding factor in 12's, has a big impact on racing. i say 3200. ive seen em on daily drivers before plenty of times.

or maybe you shouldve just bought a t-56

I don't know about the truck 3200 but the SS3200 is in my daily driver and with some increase line presured it nice. I think you know how to fix that.haha. I vote 3200 all the way.

I think I want the 3200 for mine. Most guys get a lower stall then wish the had gotten the larger one.

Go for the 3200! When I stall mine I am going to do the 3000 only as I need that larger diameter converter.

The Yank TT3200 also has a higher STR to launch you faster! Sounds like a winner...you must break a 12.99 with a stock internal motor and manifolds.

I guess it doesn't matter if i get the camaro stall or truck stall, the camaro stall is cheaper, and seems to be better, what do you think?

the 3000 yank stall, had an option of a 2.5 or 3.0 str, i guess the str at 3.0 is better after reading yanks website.

    anymore thoughts?

    thanks,

What year is your 4L60E? If it came behind your old motor you will need a 30 spline input shaft, if it is newer you will need a 33 spline input shaft.

The truck converters are a tad larger in diameter thereby eliminating a bit of looseness.

The 3.0 STR is the "Stall Torque Ratio"..it will multiply input torque 3X at the stall speed! Stock converters do abotu 1.9X. But the higher the STR the slightly less efficient the converter is once moving. The 3.0 would help a ton in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

If you want a pretty much custom converter...check out Edge Racing Converters www.edgeracingconverters.com I think that is their site.

They make custom 9.5" converters for killer prices...and if you become a dealer even less! lol

Any stall and STR to your liking.

so can you explain that str a little more, it's the amount of power being applied right, so multiply the torque by that number and that's what being generated?

will a higher str be more streetable or less streetable, meaning will i need to push the pedal more to start moving?

looks like the yank 3000 or the yank thruster truck 3200 are the two good options.

i'm really going to buy one of these and it's just not talk, so i want to make sure i'm going to buy the right one,

thanks for the input so far,

    allen
