350z surprise...I thought those cars were low 14s stock?

I was testing my truck out last night and a friend of mine called and told one of his buddies wanted to race my truck so I told him where I was and we met up.

When they showed up I figured I was going to lose since it was a sports car, but hell I will race anything, anytime for shits and grins.

The car was all decked out and very nice looking, but as far as the motor I was told it was stock and manual transmission.

We lined up and went from a dig and I guess he must have spun like crazy because I jumped out pretty good on him, like a couple truck lengths and he hadn't caught up with me completely when I shut it down at 90.

We ran again from a 20 roll and it was a lot closer, but I still edged him out a little all the way to 90.

Maybe he missed a gear or something or can't drive very well...but it was still fun to take out a ricer.

I think my truck is in the mid to high 14s, not sure exactly as I haven't had a chance to run it since I had the 4.11s installed and re-tune done so I wasn't really expecting to beat the 350z.

I believe they had 2 versions of those cars. the 370z's are lot quicker. I wasn't overly impressed with the 350z, looks cool, but unless you have the nismo version or throw a turbo on, not THAT great. My buddy had a twin turbo one, and only ran a high 11 if I remember correctly.

    None the less, good kill
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

Well my truck definitely aint in the 13s yet so this guy probably couldn't drive it right, but hey he called me out so that makes it even better.
