It is important to remember most performance tunes limit this function as it would adversly affect the shift improvement a tune provides. Most consumers would rather not feel the transmission shift so the factory tends to allow relatively long shift times which we all know causes wear. You should also know that how you drive will also effect this function. If you are always above half throttle during shifts the pcm will increase line pressure as well as delay upshifts. I for one think the TAP is great for an off the lot truck however if you want to put a shift kit, corvette servo, larger spool valve, or any other trans mod to firm up your shifts, you can count on the pcm dropping off line pressure which can make your mods less effective. But like I said a good tune will correct the issues TAP creates.
