    Did a little painting today...

Decided my nitrous bottles needed to be pretty since they will be seen no matter what new truck I get. This is the first one. It is a Brand X bottle that we just sanded down the black and layed the blue over it..

    First coat

    Final in the sun

    Final inside drying

At this point there is no clear on it. Probably wouldn't hurt to lay some on it for protection though.

I have no idea to be honest. I went to the paint store and said I needed some blue metallic. He gave me a book and I picked it out. I got a half pint in an aerosol can for 20$. I can pull the paint code off the can if you are interested.

If you don't use clear, the first time you put that bottle in some brackets it'll get rocked.

I am modifying my bottle brackets. Glueing cloth down on any parts that contact the bottle. Something thick.

Why, so the bottle can go flying out of the brackets cuz of how slick the cloth will be?

Why not use a soft rubber...like some tool chests come with now?

Okay... here's my question. If the bottles are mounted sideways under the back seat... how am I going to go SIDEWAYS fast enough for them to fly out? The new truck will be a big heavy 4x4... slowwwwww.
