Unplug a wheel speed sensor, deal with the ABS light. As long as it's on ABS don't work.

Thought there was a trick about 1 click on the ebrake and turning the TC off.

There SHOULD be a big fuse under the hood. I've pulled it from both my gm trucks. The light comes on. Squeeze bulb with needle nose pliers. Light goes off. You can put the fuse back in if you WANT when you aren't messing around. I personally hate ABS and it didn't work well with my big tires. So I just leave it out permanently. (same goes with airbags)
