I want it to work with my current stall.
I want it to work with my current stall.
really im asking whats the biggest cam i could run that wont held back b/c i only have a 3000stall.
stock? idk i ran a 228 cam with a stock stall it will drive fine and such just not much fun from a dig, but good for highway runs. you could run a high 230's with that stall just expect a bad 60ft unill you can get a bigger stall. Also dont think for a second that a 3600 stall is not daily drive-able i never noticed my 3200 was even a 3200 driving around town and i have a 4600 now
74 Austin Morris Mini 1000 - Daily Coil Spring conversion, lowered, Disc Brake conversion
FOR SALE: 04 RC/LB Duramax -12 second tow pig, built Allison, Tune, and supporting mods
FOR SALE: 03 Silverado SS -DBRods built 40X, DP, Suspension. Going for fast
I see what your saying, I'm thinking between a 228 and a low 230, i just don't want to have my cam's potential hiding b/c of my undersized stall. I'd get a new one now, but I just cant see myself dropping like 800 for a new billet converter at the moment.
what would get me into the 12's?

For 12's, the cam is less important then a good launch and traction.

These LSr cams have been making good power.
Or get you about a 2-4* split duration cam with good lift on a 112+2. Higher lift is like free hp and tq without sacrificing lowend. Same with the little extra exhaust duration. 230/234 .595/.598 on a 112+2.
