what do you expect from an exhaust system

What do you expect from an exhaust system? What do you perfer in the exhaust tone, Sleeper, aggresive, or all out race. The more information you can give the better.

I've always like the mid sized Magnaflows, they produce a deep tone during driving and wake up under full throttle. Plus, I haven't heard a truck that has cab resonance from Magnaflows either, that's real important for a daily driver.

Resonance is a killer on a daily driver. I had 40 series flows with dumps on my old truck and drove it about 200miles a day, talk about a headache when I got home. The only thing I have found nice about flows is the milage improvement I have seen. Maybe I am just starting to get old LOL.

I really liked the tone my Gibson gave to me, low and rich. Not too much, just sounded strong - but not too much. I was not a big supporter of mufflers like Flowmasters until I properly understood the purpose of mufflers and their effect upon performance. Especially with LS-based engines, they need to breath.

Ya these motors love to breath. I have been very impressed with these motors. I think gm has hit on a very good combination as a begining point for build ups. I can not leave anything alone though. MORE POWER.

yep, gm has the best motors hands down, its the only drivetrain i would trust to drive around the world if you could, now , how about trying my muffler,the STS turbo muffler!! LOL!you will definitley love the sound!

I have been thinking of something like that. I thought about dropping a 6.0 in it and possible turbo or super charger. Then I will have a real nice work truck LOL. This bad boy gets driven 100 to 200 miles a day, sometimes more.
