My 5.3 build coming along quicker than i thought! Shooting for 400 rwhp N/A

I am super bored sitting around the house on light duty for the next 2 weeks after knee surgery (3 months on crutches sux!).

So I have alot of time to search the net and find deals on the rest of my parts on my build...

Only things left to order is my Pat G spec EPS Cam, Ls7 lifters, pushrods, 8.1L injectors, Trunnion upgrade kit, All gaskets, Heavy Duty Timing Chain set, High Volume oil pump and give Nelson a call for my new tune.


Already have: Big valved CNC Ported/Polished 762 casting 5.3 heads milled .040 Patriot Dual Gold Springs, TBSS Intake, Edelbrock 90mm Throttle Body,

Downfall is i get to look at all this stuff for 3 months till i get off crutches its gonna be painful waiting that long! Maybe i can talk my dad into installing all the stuff for me...he helped on the first cam swap.

Found a TBSS intake with fuel rails and new gaskets for $150 will be here next week
I told Pat G that my goal was 400RWHP when i filled out the cam spec sheet so i will let him work his magic.

Yeah being on crutches for that long really sux. Where did you find the TBSS intake? I want one but haven't found one yet. Well whatever cam he spec's out for you is going to be nice.

Digging through old for sale threads a guy mentioned he had one so i sent him a pm and sure enough still had it. Even if its close to 400 i will be happy i just wanted a really nice cam for the setup.

Nice set up. good luck on getting the trunion upgrade kit, they may have them in by now but I waited for a month and a half before I gave up on the "they will be in next week" line and just bought me a set of Harland Sharps

I used EPW which is a major parts buying group for my local machine shop and had my trunions in hand in 2 days. Comp has no real date on when they will have more. i hope the info helps

Hell yeah just got my cam specs fro Patrick G this was the last piece of the puzzle:

222/226 .597”/.598” 111LSA +2 advance on EPS Endurance Lobes

Same thing i thought when i got the spec sheet...but I'm not going to second guess him. I have over camed lots of motors when i was younger so just will have to wait and see...i think its going to be a beast with a nice power band.Plus i heard alot of great things from some of the Car guys at LSFest this year about the new EPS lobes.
