    5.3 to 6.0 swap

    ok i can probably dig into some old treads to figure most of this out but i figured i would just ask my 5.3 is starting to crap out so im looking into swapping a 6.0. My truck is an 06 what year 6.0s will swap in eastiest and what all parts am i looking at needing to do the swap im just trying to gather some basic info since ive never done this before
    2006 Chevy ECSB 5.3 - New L33 Motor,CAI, Descreened MAF, Nelson 93 tune, Transgo Shift Kit, servos, 3in exhaust, Borla, pacetter LT's, and ORY, Aeroforce Furture: stall, cam, 4.10's

    It is a real easy swap, all the accessories from th 5.3 will bolt up to the 6.0. And it is even better that you have the Nelson tune.

    ok awsome one of my main questions is what about the wiring? do i need a new wiring harness? and what about the PCM do i need the one from the truck the motor is commin out of or can i get the one i have right now reprogrammed? will it bolt up to my 4L60E for now until i can find a 80E to swap in? can i use my stock electric fans that i have right now or will i have to a get another set to swap in?

    For wiring use your existing harness, no need to cut it up.
    You can use you existing PCM, and since Allen tuned it even better for you.
    The 6.0 will bolt to the 60e, amd depends on how you drive it, it should last a while.
    And you can keep your fans.
    Once you do the swap and look under the hood no one but you will know it is a 6.0, because the 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 look identical.

    Also for all your mods ( Future: stall, cam, 4.10's ) you can get them from the site sponsors. Nelson Performance, Circle D, and Ron's Machining Service. Since it will be apart may as well do them then.

    ok that puts my mind at ease haha thanks for all your help im looking for a new motor right now and hopefully ill find something and get it in in the next few weeks
