Torque conveter doesnt bolt up.

I just contacted Hughes about the adapter HP3795 they are saying I need the concave flex plate also. This stuff got me so confused now. I don't even know what too do. A sawp I tought was going too take 2 days is going on 1 week now because of this converter. If I go buy the Hughes extension and the ls1 bolts wiLl this converter work on the 5.3 Flywheel?

Hughes wants you to use the curved flex plate with their adapter, putting the adapter aft of the flex plate. The GM adapter goes forward of the flat flex plate, so you end up with the same spacing.
You are going to need the longer bolts either way, they have to go through the adapter and flex plate on both.

Wow you guys are cunfusing me just reading this. The hughes spacer plate goes on the engine side or the trans side. I know on the GM standard flex plate the spacer goes on the egine side right.

K guys I got the Hughes adapter. When I was at summit the told me too use the stock 5.3 flexplate bolts. They said those are. The same as the ls1s. I guess I will see in the morning if it works.
