    Well my uncle in California builds hotrods and since most of the emission crap started in 73 anything 72 and prior is free game when it comes to making it badass...that's what I've always heard from him anyways

    Each state has different rules. The number I've heard in CA is 1967 and before.

    Smog stuff started before 1973. Some cars in the late 60s already had smog pumps.

    Some cars in the 50s had seat belts.

    it's a nice car indeed. My buddy and his brother won Drag Week in 2005. Car has to be driven to each event, and average time to win. Not a best one time, this was the first 6.99 or faster that won the event.
    But if they get any assistance from a support vehicle, they are out.
