    I've heard they're pretty strict up your way. Guess it's true. Those things aren't a problem here, especially if you've got an old car.

    You'll get a ticket for just about anything in the chicagoland area, it's turrible.

    Even in California (one of the most strict smog/inspection states) you can do anything you want to a car as long as it's a 1967 or older.

    In CA they just have a few simple rules for the older cars like the tires can't stick out past the fenders and the exhaust can't be super loud (like open headers). The obvious stuff. Other than that you can run a blown motor of your choice with the huffer sticking out the hood, roll cage, tubbed and any size tire as long as the car is 1967 or older.

    Yea it's pretty much the same everywhere but it's 72 and older

    Looks like you're in Oklahoma. I believe it use to be 1977 and older in OK.

    I don't think they check any years in OK now. No inspection stickers or anything.

    Well my uncle in California builds hotrods and since most of the emission crap started in 73 anything 72 and prior is free game when it comes to making it badass...that's what I've always heard from him anyways

    Each state has different rules. The number I've heard in CA is 1967 and before.

    Smog stuff started before 1973. Some cars in the late 60s already had smog pumps.

    Some cars in the 50s had seat belts.
