    Is it true about the tstat keeping the water pump under load for longer periods of time, though?

    water pump is always under load if anything it frees up the restriction sooner then later. figure with a earlier opening temp the water pump is flowing sooner then later, so if anything the stock stat puts more load on the pump

    Ah I gotcha, makes perfect sense. I guess in theory then , a 160 stat would probably help keep the pump cooler too, which would have to be better for it
