Amen! My female heeler (pure bitch and alpha dominant) has torn many a dogs up that were not on leashes... their owners fault!! Hopefully the other dog is okay and maybe it's owners will learn a lesson.

Agreed. Nice looking poch you got there. Im at fault for never putting a leash much less a collar on Roxy, but she has her own space to roam and its not in a neighborhood.
This is my dog, ive had a few times with the same problem. I actually had a guy walk all the way up to my house with two pits on a leash. I told him to watch Chevy, my dog, as soon as i said that he lunged for them. Thank god the guy picked both the dogs up so chevy didnt grab them.
No leashes really piss me off..One of our neighbors has a Rotty they let run loose for about 15 minutes every nihgt..The damn thing growled at me one night while i was trying to get the mail.
Just an irresponsible move on their part. I'm sure it's a friendly dog and wasn't even thinking of fighting. But if a dog runs up on a Stafford or AmStaff or APBT, they're in trouble.
Yeah I'll check with them tomorrow and see how he's doing.
And yeah I know...freakin weeds...
Yeah your situation is a lot different - you have wide open land without neighbors dogs running around.
I'd be calling the police. That's how children wind up mauled.
This is my dog, lacie, picture is probably the ONLY time she's had a leash/collar on her
She goes 'to play' with all the neighbors dogs (they will seriously call up and see if she can go over to play), if I'm outside, she's with me. She sits in the truck, or will lay under it in the garage. Some guy walked up driveway other day when I was messing with the blazer and was like SIR, PLEASE RESTRAIN YOUR DOG! she was laying at my feet, and I'm like 'ya you're fine' he walked up to me to hand me a flyer and she started licking his feet, never even got up. She plays catch with a chunk of rope and likes to chase rabbits, and if I yell SIT! while she's running, she will literally drop mid stride and slide to a stop. Best dog I've ever had. Got her for $25 bucks from pound a week before I finished college, she was scheduled to be put to sleep THAT DAY because she had been there so long.
My old dog, Aries, was a completely different story. That dog used to have a engine lift chain as a leash, and I would put it on the clevis hook of my hitch, swear she moved my truck like 8 inches one day trying to get to a dog some lady was walking down the sidewalk.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum
wow lucky i havent had any issues with my APBT yet as most people around here would have a fit if something happend like that even if they were at fault like in your case. glad things got under control before it got worse. here is my 8month apbt
