Well, I went through the harness today and it looks good (nothing cut, broken, etc). Also cracked open the LQ4, absolutely spotless inside. I was pretty impressed.
I'm not planning on running EGR or the Charcoal canister, so I'll be searching for some blockoff plates for that stuff.
I need to get the 4L80 rebuilt...prolly could have it done for 4 or 500 bucks if I'm lucky.
    Still need
    NBS radiator (34" wide)
    NBS trans cooler lines
    NBS rad hoses
    accessory bracket bolts
LQ4 flexplate with spacer and bolts
    schoenfeld headers
    O2 sensors (just front 2)
    belt idler/tensioner assembly
    probably some other stuff.
Can anybody identify the year this 4L80 is? I think it's a post 96 because the Park/neutral switch has two plugs.

    Extra bosses for another cooler??

    just curious

What does the bolt pattern on the bellhousing look like?

Looks 99-up GMT800 to me. The bolt hole on the top wasn't there on GMT400 stuff. Also don't think they had the 4L80e script like that on the GMT400s.

I'm still cranking on this project...just getting sidetracked.
Thinking about 243 heads...not sure. I assume swapping heads on an LS engine is the same as a SBC. looks much easier, tho
I'm also thinking about throwing a 2000 rpm converter in the trans, it should help the 6.0 get over the 4L80E's nasty 1st gear.
    opinions??
