    Nelsons tune....

Well, i wanna start off by saying i love my tune, butttt i wonted to know two things, 1st im gunne be getting long tubes, and prob a shift kit so ill need a retune, so how do i go about doing that? 2nd i was wondering if it was possable to "tune out" my problem, i can be on pavement with alitte bit of sand or dirt and punch it from a stop and it wont even bark a tire, but say im going down a dirt road and rull into it at about 20 once it his 30ish it pitches it side ways... need less to say i can do the same thing if the roads wet and punch it at 30 and haze em threw 2nd... im just wondering if theres anything i can do tune wise to open up my responce or something cuz it sucks from a dead stop but im impressed with it after about 2800-3200 rpms and beyond.... any ideas? thanks guys.... im gunna retune after i get the lt's and prob the shift kit. then i may or may not do a cam depends on mula....

as much as i hate to say it but your mods mount up to hardly nothing then a 91 octane tune? why?
unless youre limited on 93 in your area.

    heres your mods you listed:

2004 gmc sierra ext cab 4x4 with the 5.3 4l60e tranny, mods are cai, sorties, cat back, vette servos, and nelsons 91 tune, i have 28/5 tires on 16 inch rims

CAI, shorty headers, cat back, you got a CAI just to kill any potential with shorty headers. you say those tires are actually light, what do you call light ?

we are talking 4x4 ecsb, thats one heavy truck to get moving.. a tune alone ( basically the only mod you have ) isnt gonna break the tires loose in a heavy ass truck.. its gonna take alot to get that beast rolling and lot more modding..

If you have a manual fan clutch...ditch it for efans

    Get an UD pulley

    Get different gear.

I have 36" and I can spin em from a stop and whip it sideways all day long if I want. I have a true-trac locker with a 4.56 gear. Efans/UD/tune were best mods I've done. Intake/exhaust sound nice, but with stock cam/heads, do very little.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum
