Thread: Brake question

    Brake question

ok i may be off my nut by thinking this but....
I know people have taken Corevette calipers and rotors and mounted them on Silverados.. mostly ive seen it on the SS Silverado.. albiet with some brakets and hardware that had to be made..
    so..

would the same thing be possible with 2010 camaro calipers and rotors?
    They are Brembo parts..

I think you will need to get a different rotor with the camaro being 5 lug but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Corvette is 5 lug too. The Z06 caliper swap is pretty popular on the denali forum. There is a lot of info about it there, but get ready for sticker shock!

the corvette brake are a little more expensive than regular stock brakes.. the camaro calipers , according to gmparts direct, are 150 each.
im 99% sure you can use a regular 6 lug rotor, just use (in the z06 case) the corvette caliper, pads, and you need a special adapter to make it line up properly.
If im wrong, hey im wrong.. just figured it might be another option to upgrade the brakes in the truck.

For the Z06 brakes people are using Baer or similar oversized rotors. I'm sure somebody will come up with a solution to mount the 2010 Camaro stuff if it is any good. Course at $600 for calipers alone, with rotors and brackets you are probably in the same range as a Baer kit.
