Is the stage 1 turbo the same as the stage 4 turbo. What all would someone need to go from a stage 1 kit to a stage 4
99 RCSB 4X4, 6L
looks like cross over and down pipe would have to be upgraded along with the turbo, stage 4 also has the intercooler. stage 4 stuff is also painted (maybe coated) and im guessing has a better waste gate and blow off valve
thats another question what size turbo is on this kit? i know its a MP just curious on the size
74 Austin Morris Mini 1000 - Daily Coil Spring conversion, lowered, Disc Brake conversion
FOR SALE: 04 RC/LB Duramax -12 second tow pig, built Allison, Tune, and supporting mods
FOR SALE: 03 Silverado SS -DBRods built 40X, DP, Suspension. Going for fast
The stage 1 would require alot of upgrades to be a stage 4. The crossove, and downpipe would be swapped out to stainless. Stage 4 intercooler kit, with black cold piping cut to length and beed rolled ends. Larger turbo, larger blowoff. Gate is same size different brand.
Stage 1 is build for a stockish 4.8/5.3/6.0 customer that wants to see what FI is all about and does not have alot of coin to use. So everything on this kit is done as cost effective as possible. Boost should be kept 7psi or lower, unless methanol or an IC is added.
For the customer that knows they will be pushing the kit to higher boost levels and power levels the Stage 3 or STage 4 are better options.
Here is a brief grid showing the kit and there parts lists hope this helps.

I have 36lb injectors how well would they work with this kit pushing 6psi? Would my 224/230 114lsa cam work ok in a boost application?

No sure on the tuning side of things I am not a tuner.
No ic will be fine but stay below 7 max psi. I have this kit installed on my truck. Going to be driving it around next week. Mine will stay around 4-5 psi. I will log the temps I see. I will be using the 48lbs injectors I have with my old tune.
