    whats the pros and cons of running a 160?????

    No heat when its cold out is bout the only con, that I know of. I have one in mine and it stays right at 170-175 in this summer heat with the A/C on.

    I’ve read that some times a 160 will set a code. But I cant confirm it

    im sure it might set that code thermostat below regulating temp.i might be wrong.it happens from time to time.lol

    no code here, runs around 175 as well in the summer as long as I am moving. When sitting still go up to 195. this is in 100 degree weather though.

    Mine set po128 coolant temp below thermostat temp, not a problem simply remove it. With my 5.7 I couldn.t keep in under around 200 in the summer time so I ordered a two row radiator and it runs around 170 to 175 even when its a 105 outside and the AC blazing.

    anybody know the autozone part #.and also would this mess with my tune or will it be fine.
    Nothing stock...I either broke it or replaced it before I broke it!!

    HMMM, It seems to me that the heater actually gets warm quicker with the 160 stat.

    I've never ran a 160 in an lsx. but in my malibu the 160 still got hot, even quicker as mentioned....
