    A ? for all u 4l80e guys

    i retired the 5.3 and building a stroker motor in my 04 rcsb and im swaping my t56 for a 4l80e. What year is the best to run???

    The one with the top center bell housing bolt.
    But they all run good when built right.

    ya, i have the old style that doesnt have the top hole, but it works fine. just want to stick with 98 or newer style that has the trans cooling lines coming out one in front of the other not the ones that are stacked. i tried the manual too, then got tired of it being slow... lol... and went 80e... best thing i ever did

    thanks man, yeah i got a lot of money in my six speed and its not gonna be worth much if i blow it up again. ive seen ur truck come outa the hole pretty damn quick!!!!! are u spraying it now ??

    i think my 80 came out of an 05, not entirely sure, but seems to work fine for me.

    Same here, mine came from an '06, after transgo HD-2 and 3600 stall, workin fine takin 200 out of the holeshot
    2000 2-toned silverado, Totalled. Gone But not Forgotten.
