    That sucks to hear. Depending how bad the cylinder walls are it might need a few sleeves... what's the compression on that thing?

    To tell you the truck I am not sure. Its got stock pistons and 243 heads. I really hate to make this post, but I dont want to have to go through all this again. I would think the tune would need to be change for a different cam, but he said it wouldnt.

    IMO, i'd get a wideband ASAP. Allen seems to run his tunes a bit on the rich side to be safe, so that slight adjustment in cam was probably within wiggle room. Every motor is different, it's hard to tell what happened. A wideband should have redflagged you before anything serious happened.

    Allen is usually super busy, try emailing/messaging Ericka, she's usually a little quicker to reply. I've never had any problems with his services, I just learned to wait a week or so between contacts. All the local tuners around here are the same way. My buddy had his camaro at ls1speed for almost 2 months to get a cam/head/tune. We all know that is a 1-2 day project.
    blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

    Daniel, right? I think so, 254 area code? That's the only call I see on Tuesday, Erica left a message, did you not get it? I'm only behind on calls from the 5th, unless a few got skipped.
    You can always PM me with "important" in the message if i'm not available when you call.

    Odd it only burned up 2 cylinders, but you never know.
    What was the wideband reading ? Not that is helps when one or two cylinders blow, because a wideband is a collective reading, meaning it's averaging all the cylinders. That's one reason why we run them on the rich side.
    Meaning 12.4-6 on NA setups and 11.2 or so on FI setups.
    A change from a 224 to a 234 only on the exhaust side wouldn't make it run lean to the point of causing damage.
    We do run our tunes on the rich side and it's tough to blow an NA engine with light mods.
    Practically every tune we send out is always tuned on the rich side, the ones that aren't either have lower fuel pressure than a typical vehicle, dirty or not enough injector, etc.

    If you don't want it to happen again, get a wideband and see what the a/f ratio is.

    I can send out a tune that is definitely going to be richer, but be sure fuel pressure, idc and all that other stuff is up to speed.

    Thanks man. You can delete this post if wanted. And no Erica never called, I dont have a voice mail or anything. And it was cylinder 1 & 3 that burned plugs. Please call me today.

    Yeah. It needs a wideband, but its not my truck and not my decision, i told them to get one but ya know how that goes. The motor will go in next week thats why I am in such a rush to atleast talk to Allen and figure out what the issues could be.

    Don't know what's going on, but erica said she called, again, got a vm message, she didn't leave a message, but she did call to get the info for a retune again.

    Maybe we're calling the wrong number, if you still want a retuned pcm, pm erica your number to verify we're calling the correct number.

    If not,
    No problem, i'll send out an unlocked pcm monday.

    I just saw this post.

    the issues could be that the engine is running lean, but the pcm is tuned for what the spec's are. I can't tune for unknown variables.
    before any issues are resolved, start with fuel pressure, make sure it's there, then see what the wb is reading.
    if i'm commanding a 12.5 and increased all the tables i'm supposed and the truck is still running lean, it might be a weak fuel system.

    that is still odd, only two plugs are showing a lean condition, and the fact that they are two cylinders that don't usually show on the lean side.
