power steering

I just picked up a 1996 reg cab short box Z71 as my new workk truck. Its not on the road yet but i was moving it yesterday and the steering is really hard. Power steering fluid is full but backing it into the garage i had to use two hands? The pump doesnt make any noise either?

Change the pump. The internal shaft can snap in half and not make noise.
