Very nice kill. I have a buddy with an '02 24 valve that thought he was hot stuff. That is until he challenged me, and got walked by what was then a stone stock red Chevy 1/2 ton. Most guys that have Cummins don't understand enough about them, or diesels in general for that matter, to do anything except make them loud and waste tons of fuel making smoke.

I would love a Duramax though, this little red chevy can't tow for $#!t.

Yall are way off on this subject. I just got out of the whole diesel trip and they are FAST!! There are many of them cummins with just a chip or two and exhaust running 13's, but it aint banks crap. That stuffs a joke! An as for them not being good for racing, they are turning times just like the fast turbo gassers, i believe the fastest common rail cummins is in the 9's and its a street truck as well. Not siding with them or starting a war with yall just stating the facts. There is actually an 11 sec one from bryan college station an its his daily driver.

not to be a dick but... do u relise the money it costs to go 9's in a common rail cummins? ANYTING with that much turbo can go 9's, cummins are crap and you can quote me on that! find a cummins with the same mods as my duramax and see if he can keep up cus he cant. a stacked chip truck isnt close to fast, if you think 13's are fast you need a reality check... im bearly in the 12's and thats still slow. yes im stock engine stock injectors stock fuel pump i have a built trans a mild tune intake and exhaust thats it. Most these cummins think there fast cus they watched fast and the furious and though a nissan altama could run 9's so once they beat one, there worse than ricer math called "white trash math" made them think they were fast

I donno... I've seen some bad ass deisels. It's never really about what you have it's about how much money you can throw at it. I had a buddy with a turbo gsr integra crush a viper, and I've had my ass handed to me by a cummins in my gf's 09 si. Which I couldn't keep up with until recently. Yea it doesn't really "feel" fast except in first gear when you crack vtech, but it revs like a freakin street bike and doesn't weigh anything. A modded deisel with 12 1300 ft lb's isn't going to have a problem pullin an 8000 pound truck around. But I guess it's all about weight gears and power, just need a good combo..

yeah there a plenty of bad ass diesels but most of the ones you see have stacked chips, exhaust and intake and think there fast when they arnt lol. I would like to think my truck is decently quick since im now dipping in the 12's but imo its still not fast... i want to go 11's but i need a bigger charger and injectors most likely

It's only fast if you need some extra tubing in the cab. And as far as diseasels go if I wanted a fast one, DMax. If I wanted a pure work truck, Cummins. It comes down to the V8 vs I6 and pure engine geometry/physics.

ive got to see a video or something. Never seen a dmax run 12's on tune intake and exhaust. Mild tune at that! I call bs until you show me otherwise. Yes i do realize that it takes alot of money to go 9s in a cummins but havent seen a dmax do it. An it still takes alot of money to make gas trucks turn 9's. Your the one talking all this crap about people being fast and the furious wathcer and followers, um buddy look at your lp and sig under your name. I think you may have watched it to much yourself. An no matter what you say 13's is pretty fast for a almost 9000lb truck. An the only reason cummins have to "stack chips" is not all chips do one thing like they do on dmax's. ie Juice w/ att stack with ez , juice does timing and duration and ez does pressure. So now you have a hard fueling truck.

An you also need to realize that yours is tuned by laptop at what you want it to be cummins doesnt have that option "yet". So i bet you any amount of money once they come out with that an they can turn up a cummins like you can it will be equal an the cummins will walk you all day and night. An im willing to bet your truck gets stupied HOT egts. The only fuel pump cummins need is a lp because dodge makes crappie parts.
