Ok so i have been set on the Pacesetter Longtubes for a while with the "off-raod" Y pipe from a website...today i found a set of hooker headers LT's that are basically the same price.... but about 100 more for ceramic coated.... i knwo hooker has been around for quite a while and so has pacesetter.... so heres the real question... are the hookers really worth that extra 100 dollars??? or are they going off their name?? anyone have experience with eithe?? because advice from someoen like that would be ideal... Allen any tips??

    thanks

A point here just in case you may not be aware and end up buying the wrong thing..... a longtube is not a tuned header unless it is stated as such. Hooker competition headers are tuned. Ones that say only "longtube headers" are NOT tuned. A tuned (longtube) header will be advertised specifically as such.

The differance between a tuned header and any other header only comes in to play if you run an open exhaust, with less than 18 inches of pipe.

from what i understand the "tuned" part is just to do with the scavenging of each tube. Could be wrong though.

Your right, but if you have over 18" of pipe it defeats the purpose.
