Might as well. Do it once and do it all. That way when it's all done you don't say ''Awww man...why the F didn't I fix this when it was apart and easy!!!!''
We all have done it. And everything for these trucks is cheap.

2013 CC 5.3
81 C10 LS1 project
Awesome looking combo. Look forward to progress reports.
Anyone know where to get a set of brackets to move the a/c and alt. higher on the engine away from the bottom. I'm having clearance issues with the motor mount adapter plates. I know I've seen them on here, but i'm having trouble finding it again. Bout to start bookmarking everything I come across.
Anyone tried installing these mounts backwards, with the point facing back? if so, how did it work out. I don't see any major problem other than throwing the center of gravity off by putting the engine further towards the front end, thus reducing the trucks stability a tad bit They fit when installed backwards, so I may just drop it in like that and see what it looks/feels like....
Ok, so I found out the hard way.....oil pan doesn't clear. btw, I found that site that makes the brackets for mounting the a/c and alternator up top. It's http://www.kwikperf.com/lsx_ac.html. Gonna order those today. This will allow me to install the motor mount bracket the correct way. I'm going back offshore Monday so I'm sure I won't receive the brackets in time to drop the engine in.
I cleaned out the engine a bit more today. I painted the left side primer black. I'm still undecided on what color I'm putting in the bay. Probably a flat black like the trucks gonna be.
Here's some pic of today's progress.

Depending on how you want it to look when youre done, you might want to look into a Dropmember. It clears all the stock stuff and gets your LCAs off the ground. Oh, and has the mounts built in. If you plan on leaving the engine looking like the Camaro engine it is (with the covers and all), it will keep you from having to cobble up high mounts.
Which part of the oil pan is causing problems? Is that the 2010 Camaro oil pan on the engine. Looks pretty deep, not like the 98-02 f-body.
yeah, it's the stock pan from the camaro. The oil pan was only an issue when I tried to install the mounts backwards. with the original a/c position, the adapter plates would not fit. i took out the a/c and put the mounts in correctly, so the oil pan clears now. I just need to get that bracket for the high mount position for the a/c. The alt clears fine on the drivers side.
