Thread: Question about the 4.8 to ls2 swap I just completed.

    I know you told me I can just swap pans for the oil level, but is there an oil lever sensor on the ls2 somewhere? or i place for it?

    The newer alum 6.0s dont come with the oil level sensor in the pan...

    So they dont have a low oil lever sensor ANYWHERE? How would someone know if they were low on oil?

    Nothing in the pan. Now there could be something in the DOD or the VVT circuits on the motor. But all of that is gone with the retrofit. You know when the engine starts making alot on noise..LOL

    Pop the hood and pull dipstick like we done all these years before idiot lights, LOL
