    tuning decisions

i currently have a nelson mail order tune and I am getting ready to make some changes to the truck. My question is should Ijust get the truck dynoed tuned, or should I just by hptuners and let Allen tune the truck via email? I know having hptuners is a great tool to have, but so is a dyno tune. My question is how much of a difference would it be vs the dyno tune/nelson email tune? Thanks for the advice Nick.

all though a live tune could and is probably better, and the thought you live across the country from allen nelson, i would look at it this way, how much is a dyno tune in your area? how much is a street tune in your area? is the person you gonna have it done in your area good, great or just ok? theres alot of variables, like say if you were to buyt hptuners, do you plan on getting more mods later? going to a bigger engine ( more cubes) ? theres a few things to think about, all though all does one hellva mail order tune, having the tune tweaked makes it all that better, with hptuners allen could get your tune dead on, since you'll be sharing files back and forth...BUT if you dont plan on doing much to your truck then maybe wanna think about a dyno tune or someone that has the capabilities to street tune it

Yeah you make good points skeet. I dont no if i plan on going bigger with the motor, unless the motor blows. As far as the mod go, right now I am looking to swapping the cam, and putting a meth kit on the truck. This will probally be the extent of it for a while. Not much more I can do without pulling engine and building, I think 10lbs is as high as I am gonna go on the stock bottom end 5.3.
