Thread: Tune question

    I have a 2008 Silverado short bed 4x2 with the 4.3 4L60E and open 3.23 rear the truck is a dogggggg I want to upgrade to a V8 later but for now can the truck be tuned and if so what is the cost there are no hand held tuners available and I can't find anyone who can tune the truck is the 08 really different

    The only close option would be hptuners, but their site says no support for it.

    Ya, it would wake up with a tune and gears.

    We have an '09 v6 truck here, we can't tune it because it's not supported, so we're doing the next best thing, ripped everything out and putting in a 383 stroker and 80e lol.

    what would gears do for it power wise (feel) and what ratio would be best I have 275/55-20's on it. I got out run by a Ford Escape, very embarassing!

    Gears are the quickest way to increase acceleration. Ive seen around or up to 50hp increase by doing this. Im goin 4.10 in mine and dont think higher rpms kills gas mileage. Speed is what kills your mileage.
