it means BP is greedy, google it you'll find out. i recall reading somewhere about outdated seals and such, BP gave the go ahead to short cut it and pump the concrete in, thus causing a reaction which sent a methane burp up the drill stem, the concrete chemicals and the methane gas doesnt mix which then erupted all other seals.. yeah true theres alot of debate what really happened we'll probably never know, BUT thats one company i am glad i turned down there job offer just before they killed 30+ people from the explosion they had a couple years ago..

just glad i chose to go to work for SHELL OIL.. not saying its any better but there safety history speaks for itself.

    disproves your cement theory

weather or not bp knew about the seals or not idk, it was a blame game at the beginning but now bp is taking it like a red headed step child. but the fact that tony hayworth said "id like my life back" i think he should be paying for it out of his pocket.

while BP's off shore and refinery safety seems to be bad like you say, i wasn't allowed on a land based bp rig for my first year of work, you also have to take special bp safety classes and wear frc's while on location. so there land crew seems to have it together at the moment

If I'd ever quit adding things like headrest tv's, dvd player, and mobile interwebs... It would be finished, but I'm in no hurry other than that lol

Whatever the real facts are (and trust me, we will never truly know), BP dropped the ball on this, and now an enormous amount of our environment is in serious trouble. This spill is so bad that they expect the slick to travel all the way to the Virginia/North Carolina border. Guys, I live very far from all of you in Texas, but this slick from down there will be paying me a visit here in Va. More importantly tho, I hope that none of you oil rig workers were injured or lost any friends when the explosion happened. A terrible situation that has been handled terribly by terrible executives
