1983 Ford Ranger- 2.3 to 205k mile 6.0 swap
Kinda pointless to, unless your in a class that dictates SBC, this is probably a grey area part for circle jerker racing

Someone said that "they went through an awful lot of trouble to put a distributor and classic sbc mounts on an ls1"
Kind of agree with them, whoever it was. It's still kinda cool though.
Big slow mud truck with a TUNE!!!!!!
sounds like a messy endeavor, the bore spacing is different, which means, lifter bores are spaced different along with every single bearing. Sounds like either and LS dressed as an SBC or an SBC with LS dimensions and GenII hardware.

David,
2003 GMC Sierra Denali, LQ4, AWD, AWS, 4.10, Wheatley 93 tune, LT headers, GMPP CAI, BBK 80mm TB, MSD wires, E3 plugs, 160* T-stat, Flowmonster DI/DO, cutouts. Working on 4.8 heads, just purchased Comp 228R cam, 918 Springs, TI retainers, 7.4 hardend pushrods,
well on that note, the conversion would be alot easier except for the 1.7:1 rocker ratios
