Ok, im sure this subject has been touched quite a bit. The ol' "what cam on my 5.3L?"
But im here here on it, needing some help with my particular set up.
I got an 08 Sierra ECSB 5.3L w/stock diff 3.73 gears, long tubes, cat-less y-pipe, vette servo, 3000 stall circle D verter and tuned (of course).
I had purchased a used TSP224R cam with rods but I had decided i was gonna sell my truck so I sold it. (Big mistake) The guy that was gonna buy it, didnt pass the credit so I now decided on keeping my truck.
What do you all think about the TSP 224R cam on my truck given the mods I have and the 3000 stall im running. Changing out the verter is not an option. My truck isnt really daily driven, maybe 2-3 days a week. But I still want to keep as much driveablility as I can because I do use it for long road trips.
The cam will probably stay on for about 1-2 years, then I'll go SC. I am also trying to get as much info on DOD delete as possible for this cam swap.
Sorry for the long story guys....
