    typical cost of 5.3 swap in obs?

    tried searching couldn't really find anything. but im just doin a normal swap nothin extreme...i'll probably cam it and call it a day. so about how much would that cost, motor mounts, wiring harness etc?

    95 C1500 LM7, built 4L60e, Circle D 3200, LT's, Nelson tune, open differential, 3.42, and LS1 e-fans. Tractionless

    It depends on what you really end up doing for performance upgrades and also how good of a deal you find on a motor/trans/harness. It's been done for as low as ~$1200 but don't be suprised if your total gets over $3000.

    Well what all does the motor come with? I've seen motors come with hoses, lines, air tube etc. That stuff adds up. If you were really trying to do it the cheapest possible then you could probably get away with doing it for around $1500. To do it you could forget the performance upgrades, modify your own harness, tune it yourself, make your own adapter plates, sacrifice A/C, and steal all the new fluids. But probably you are going to have to buy or source out most or all of that.

    damn i just need a better source of income...i'm not giving up my ac especially living in tx

    Well if your A/C system works currently then you could have it with the new motor for about $350-400

    I didn't realize the price differences. The 5.7 LS1 and T56 I got (not installed yet) cost me $3500 with the harness and computer.

    yeah ls1's are too steep for me. I just got a 98 ecsb, Kinda throwing the idea around of going with a 6.0 when the v6 craps out
