No traction with new tranny

I just put in a lvl2 performabuilt tranny, 3400 billet converter, and man was it a big difference! Shifts so much crisper and stronger. I can tell that it's handling the power and not getting over powered! I went to the track to see if I had gained anything. Only thing I gained was a traction problem, I tried ttaking off from 3400, 3000, 2000, 1500, 1200, and idle. If I lay on it hard at all right away I spin all the way threw to second and finally catch some Traction after I'm almost half way threw second. I took off nice and easy laying in to it after I got moving and it took off alot better. I think it's time for some slicks!

your not running slicks? i'm running lts, ory, cai, rockers, vette servos and hypercrap tune, and i get no traction at the strip. i have to ease through the light and then slowly accelerate. but have a regular cab, so that might actually be the difference
i can hardly drive when it rains, i slide like crazy

No slicks yet, I'm running 275/60/17 nitto 420s, there kinda soft and last time I was getting lucky and they were hooking, but I've being doing to many rolling burnouts lately, so it's time to order some slicks, I think I'm going to get 28/11.5/15, or 28/11.5/16 I have drums in the back so if I can fit 15s I'll get them just to have extra sidewall for a Lil better bite! I'm not sure if I want Hoosiers or Mickeys?

You can fit 15's, and go with Mickey T's
