valve covers?
I will try to have some pics up Mon.
There very nice vavle covers.
The 98 ls1 vavle covers are the one's that don't use the coil bracket. The coil packs bolt strait to the cover. Kind of rare vavle covers.

Will the ls1 heads flow better than my 4.8 heads and will they fit? If not will they fit on the 5.3 block? Also will any of those sprongs work with a ZO6 cam?
The ls1 heads will flow alot beter. There going to lower the compression some
but not much. You should see a good gain w/ the ls1 heads. P.M. Allen
he should tell you the same.(Thats what he told me.)
B.T.W. The LS1 heads have bigger intake vavles and better runers if you didn't now.

The LS6 Z06 cam really needs LS6 springs or better. If its a 03 cam you will need push rods allso. The LS6 springs used go for about $50 for a set and new they
go for $6.95 each. Part # 12586484.

After the head and cam swap make shure you get Allen to tune it. The tune is what will get the power out of the heads and cam.

Are all of the LS1 heads 5.7 heads or do you have some 5.3's and 6.0's? If you have either I may be interested in them, all of them
I have a set of 99 5.3L heads complete. I broke 2 of the exh.
manifold bolts of in one head. The heads are OK but the studs need to be drilled out.
I have a set of 6.0L heads new from GM still in the box.The heads are complete.
Ill take $500 for both of them.

You wont need new pushrods for an 03 Z06 cam, the 02-04 are the same cam and I was able to use stock pushrods with no issues at all.

I had to change the push rods on my 99 5.3L. We put a 03 Z06 cam in a camaro and had to change push rods also. I kow if its a 01/02 cam or older you do not have to change push rod lenght. Right.

I have the 04 cam and no issues, maybe they wouldnt hurt to change em, but comp cams told me i have the correct length. I will be changing them out to 7.4" anyways when I go to 1.85:1 rocker ratio.

Who the hell knows. We do as where told and take it in the rear when where wrong. Let me know how the 1.85.1 work out.
Do the 1.85.1 rockers have to be ajusted or do you just trq them like the stock rockers.
