    Engine Questions

    im doing a cam swap in my 6.0 i took the heads off and lifters out to inspect everything can i reuse the head gaskets and bolts not sure if they are a one time use like the torq to yeild bolts

    get new bolts and you might as well get head gaskets.
    what made you pull the heads?

    i wanted to inspect everything before i through it in the truck and wasnt sure if i needed to pull the lifters when i installed the cam?

    nope.. have plastic lifter retainers

    if its on a stand just flip it over and spin the cam before pulling it out and if not get some 5/16 dowel rods to hold the lifters up..but since u have the heads off its pretty easy to just pull the lifters out
