I have seen a variety of talks about throwing the newer 5.3 and 80e into vehicles but can't find any thing that breaks it down on what is available now a days and the benefits. We want a strong daily driver that can go over the passes and carry a full load of family for vacations. Better gas efficiency is nice and of course power that doesn't destroy the gas mileage. :-)

    Thanks!

The 5.3 or 6.0 would be perfect for your burb. There is a super long thread on here somewhere explaining the OBS to Gen III swap in great detail.

I saw the stickie talking about how to do it but I am not finding something that explains the benefits of each over the other. The 6.0 is the LS1 right?
