Why in the hell would the customer get to decide what clutches to use? I hate wider aftermarket bands because they simply do not fit properly and the 2-4 band generally only fails as a result of another failure, not because it's weak. I would also shy away from a small place that uses their own design shift kit unless there are people that will stand by the "improvement".

Man, not sure about the rest. I got tired-head.

Note toself do not go there for a rebuild. And do not go to National Transmission in Tombal were my brother had his tranny rebuilt. Had to take it back twice. 1st time it burned up whilte the mechanic was drving it. 2nd time it was overreving the engine before it shifted. And we even tried adjsting the cable on it. Oh it is a 90 modle Chevy with a 383 stroker and built up 700R tranny.

FLT FTW! seriously, if your going to get a transmission rebuild done, spend some money and take it to a good reputable shop or do it yourself.

on that same note, when installing an HD2 shift kit, don't just do the valve body upgrades, go ahead and pull the trans, and replace the return springs in the drum that come with the kit. It will make the transmission last alot longer. and as per everybody's recomm. replace the valve body accumulator piston with the aluminum unit. this is only if your transmission is a light duty 4l60e with the plastic piston, you can buy the cast aluminum replacement from Summit Racing - High Performance Car and Truck Parts l 800-230-3030 for around 12 dollars. It better to spend the 12 dollars, replace it during a rebuild and never have to do it again. cu going back and doing it later is alot of work you shouldn't have to do

I see you live in katy (thats where i live) if you want it checked out by some one good call Century Transmission and automotive they are in Richmond the shop is close to the prison off 99 its maybe a 15 min drive from Katy (takes me 10 to get there). Your probably better off just going somewhere else at this point instead of getting screwed out of more money by them.

If your running a turbo with 10 psi of boost you should probably upgrade to an 80. The 60 is going to give you nothing but problems anyway.

trying to build a 60e to last isnt gonna happen, youll end up spending enough money that you could of just bought a stock 80e and been fine the whole time, i blew up one 60e, got an 80e and never looked back.

Take it to Circle D or Century. Both places have excellent reputations and will do whatever it takes to make it right.
