No more burn outs in your Chevy

Saw today that by 2012 GM will install software in all its automatic transmission vehicles
that will disable the accelerator if the brake is applied.

So much for doing tire smoking burn outs .................

FT.com / UK - GM to install override for brake systems
    2002 Tahoe 4.8 - soon to be turbo'd - SOLD
    1989 Mustang - LX Vert - 351W-TT - 2inches of dust covering it
    2012 Raptor - 497rwhp at 10psi

I was thinking the same, but with all the who-ha about this these days
I could see them burying it deep in the code and making it untouchable too.

Just install a line loc kit or disable the brake switch when wanting to burn out.

That could be a little tricky on a boat ramp with a heavy boat.

Thats like the new vehicles with traction control. My buddies 08's will chirp and then stop even with it disengaged.

BUT, I THINK if you click the E-brake down one click it deactivates it entirely.
