ls1edit vs hptuners vs efi live

hey all this is my first post so here it go’s... I’m new to chevy tuning but not new to tuning, I’ve done lots of tuning with hondas with programs like chrome and uberdata. I have never used any chevy gen 3 tuning programs and I am looking to branch out into it. What program is most like the honda tuning programs I listed? I’m kind of leaning tord hptuners.

    tell me what you think

You could get 5 pages of responses to this question and still no clear answer. Just go to the site for each program and look at the features they have for the models you will be tuning and their pricing schemes. Pick the one that is the best fit for you.

Only program Ive owned/used is HP tuners... I felt comfortable with the layout after doing abit of reading/studying but still aint a "tuner" myself.

The only one I would cross off that list is LS1Edit. I can tell you, I have both of the others and I prefer and use EFILive 98% of the time

If your planing on going FI and or using email to send tunes back and forth to other tuners, then EFILive is a better chose IMO. No fees/credits for COS's for 2/3 bar SD tuning and other parties don't have to license to your tune before making changes then sending it back to you. You can down load EFILives software from thier site and play around in it to get an idea of the tables and how they are laid out, it will just be in Demo mode till you buy it and put in the reg info.

EFIlive has better software out right now... ask again by the end of the year (maybe) and the answer might be hptuners... hptuners has some catching up to do with the new 58x stuff and they show no signs of getting off their arses anytime soon to do so.

I have what is called CATS OBDII tuner which is now what is sold by jet spectre tuner, which I'm glad I have CATS because jet gives treible customer service. John @tunercat gives superior customer service and if your like me and don't have all the money in the world I think it was a great choice. You can still purchase CATS software thru MOATES.NET I've had it for many years but always wanted to try others but I think thare for the rich guys or professionals who plan to use it for there profession.

LS1edit is that even still around?! like kurt said efi-live is better as of right now (im switching my diesel from hp-tuners to efi-live as we speak) and i was thinking/hoping they were going to make some improvements, HPT V 2.2.2 has been out for quite some time and ive had a look at beta 2.2.3 and there was NO difference in the Duramax side (which is sad because there's about 3 MAJOR tables that are missing and other problems with the software) so quite honestly id try out efi-live the only thing is there layout seems a bit less user friendly but once you get use to it, it wont matter.
