Sweet man. I love the way your truck looked with that kit on it! My buddy has an RCD also and it looks really good so that might be the way I go.

Why ProComp knuckle kit over drop bracket? I know there are pro's and con's for each kit just curious why the blanket statement against the drop bracket....

The ride is more stable on the knuckles. i hate all the changes with the steering. Alignments don't hold good settings. I seen the drop bracket for the upper control arm bend. BOLTs Bolts Bolts. I like simple. lower crossmebers and knuckles-Kit DONE.

One thing though is that you can't argue with BDS's no questions lifetime guarantee. They have both knuckle and drop bracket kits. I have installed these lifts and ran one and never had problems, and customer service was good. That's what counts to me. If I don't go BDS with my truck I'll go Superlift F.I.T system. Awesome ground clearance with a good skid structure and kicker braces. The only thing bad about the knuckle lifts for me is 6" is max height. Keep us updated

the only complaints petersens 4wheel & offroad had on the rcd is that it has exposed diffs decause of no skid plates, the bump stops were too small, and the traction bars get in the way., sounds like nit picky little crap, they thrashed the truck harder than any other truck in the test and nothing broke. rcd ranked in the top 3 at every test (except price)out of the 10 brands they tested. go for it.
i had a bds lift on my 2002 avalanche 2500 and it was flawless, the truck rode better than some stock trucks and i had 20" wheels with 10 ply tires,if the rcd falls through bds would be worth looking into.

You have some good points. Stability "might" be a touch better with the knuckle style kits, only because they increase your front track width. Which is one of the main reasons I went with a drop bracket lift, no front track width increase. Alignments, it's all in how you treat them, either will go our just as easy then other when your beating on them. I have never had any issues holding a good alignment with my drop bracket ProComp, and my truck see it's fair share offroad. Both do have there pros and cons and we could go on for days....

Just gotta watch out for the UCA drop. That's when some problems can come into some kits. It causes to much stress on the upper ball joints when running bigger tires causes premature wear, and allows the alignment to be knocked out of spec easier. Just a thought

FWIW we've done a couple Pro-Comp 6" lifts at work and have had nothing but headaches with both trucks since. Mainly vibrations that wont piss off no matter the driveline angles
