IM guessing you have 3.42s. You will get better mileage in town and either equal or slightly less on the highway but you will notice a nice difference in power range. well worth it while ur in there changing to a tru trac anyways.

i know i have asked you before, but where can i get this stuff for the best price. the tru trac and the 4.10 gears. and whats involved in changing from the stock to the 4.10s, do i need special tools, or should i have a shop do it.
ROns machining. Hes a member and site sponser on here. 575 gets you gears, tru trac, and install kit shipped to your door. I would have a shop do it if you have never messed with rear ends before.
Thank you I will look him up on google and order the parts, how much do you think it will cost to install the whole thing.
I just noticed you had a z71 so you probably have 3.73 gears already. So you might as well just get the tru trac. And that you can install yourself because you dont need to set back lash and all that fun stuff.
o great that saves me money. should i run synthetic and how hard is the installation of the tru trac.
