My truck and my dads truck both do this. Whenever I come to a stop if I have to stop quickly it's usually worse, but I'll stop and when i let my foot off the brake I feel something in the rear clunk into place...has anyone every had this problem? My truck and his truck both are 2000 models and have right around 160K on them.
my dads and the guy i work with trucks does something that sounds like that problem your havin. My dad was told it was the brakes but the guy we work with said he was told that it was in the springs in the rear.. But I would like to know the answer also lol.
a drive shaft yoke that needs lubed will make a clunking noise sometimes when it slides on the trans shaft.
If its when you stop quickly, its ABS.

Lubed my shaft and it went away
Okay some one has to be thinking what I am thinking so I will type it... I sure hope she lubed it for you or atleast gave you a hand...lol
