    '00 Sierra stepside project

I bought this truck off Ebay last March and flew to Cleveland to pick it up. Got a screamin deal, mainly cuz I don't think people really liked the tonneau cover and running boards. The tonneau was the first thing to go
, but it still needed to be lowered badly

But I put the B&M floor shifter in first and then got the Belltech 2-4 drop kit

Now the running boards have really grown on me. They look alot better on a lowered truck. In fact, my buddy sez they make the truck look lower than it is.

Here's a little more on the custom shifter cover. Just didn't like the flimsy B&M one.

    Yuck

So I cut out and shaped a foam block and covered it in fiberglass

Turned out pretty nice. Put bedliner spray paint on it.

Then I picked up an LS6 engine and put a cam and double roller in it. The Howard's pushrods I got actually measured 7.416 to 7.420, which is ok because the new cam is .005 smaller anyways.

I also made some traction bars for it. I'll have some more stuff on making your own traction bars and lots of other stuff when I get further along on my new website www.fabgarage.com like maybe past the first page...Websites are not my thing. My daughter is going to webmaster for me though. First I need a new computer for sure.

Now to get some headers and exhaust. And some rims and tires. And..

By the way, I also used the spray-bedliner stuff to paint the air dam. Works really well, but you can't really wipe it off with a rag. I couldn't stand that gray plastic in front

Got some Centerline Archer 20s and 255/50/20 Eagle RSA's.

Too busy workin on the exhaust to fool with the rims right now. I got a set of Magnaflow 59979 cats. These are goofy, but if you have a welder you can work it out.

Edit: I actually cut this one back apart where that crappy weld is and re-did it with a 1 1/2" band welded around it. You can see it in the video

Got the home made X-pipe in. I don't suggest doing this. What a chore. Can't wait to fire it up though
