Today I was getting on the freeway I was in the left lane and an early 90's mustang pulled up on my right. I could hear the thumpity thump of a cam I could just tell by looking at the guy that he was gonna try and beat me to the merg. The light turned green and off we went, I jumped out in front. I heard him bark second I stayed a fender length in front of him Then I heard him grab third and by then we were about 65 mph and the lanes were merging. He was starting to pull on me the guy would not back out of it, he was up on the shoulder and I backed out cause his stang looked like a piece and I thought he was gonna hit me. Not bad for a stock truck, I think.

Yeah, those 2004 and earlier GT Mustangs are dogs unless they are Cobras or hopped up with a supercharger or something. My 92 with the LS1 in it would eat them for breakfast and it only ran a 9.24 in the 1/8th.

Yeah, these things aren't too bad I'd say. Much better than my old TBI '91 truck. Your 2wd SCSB is a little lighter than my 4wd EC. Those Wusstangs had a hard time getting 190hp to the rear wheels in stock form (for the GT version). My truck is better than that but also weighs more than 5,000 lbs-- a little bit heavier than a Mustang.

Getting out there to kick some ass is fun, til the police gets a hold of you. Just make sure you guys are careful, and if the time allows take the asskickin to the track.

Got caught racing the wind, did you? Here in TX you would have been ticketed for "contest of speed" or "exhibition of acceleration" in addition to "excessive speed".

Well, I wasn't racing anyone or anything, I just needed to get over in the right lane so I could turn, and there wasn't an opening in the traffic except up front, so I stepped on it and got stepped on.

I got a 103 in a 55 once..... I passed a deputy. Not met in the road, pulled out in the other lane and passed. And I had to pick the one thats always pissed about life instead of the cool one.

I was selling my F-150 at the time, and sold it to the deputy for $1000 less than I was asking so he'd give me a break.

If you sell your truck for a break like that would you give up your significant other also?????

How come all the rest of you get breaks likethat?? In TX 25 or more is a free backseat ride to the clink... Ask my Brother!!!!
